Job Description:

At Warner Music Group we're all about our people. Our global company is made up of knowledgeable, passionate, and creative individuals. Our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion fosters a culture where you can truly belong, contribute, and grow. We believe in each individual's value and encourage applications from people of any age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, disability, veteran status, and any other characteristic or identity.

It is the mission of every member of the WMG team around the world to create a nurturing environment for artists, songwriters, and the people behind the music – at every stage of their career. We strive to set WMG apart by embracing innovation – an integral part of our company's DNA.

Consider a career at WMG and be a part of one of the most influential forces in culture today.

A little bit about our team:

A variety of personalities, we are a small but mighty team that is nimble, proactive, and not shy to find and secure deals for our artists. Our deals are often rooted in traditional licensed product being sold to retailers, but have grown beyond traditional wholesale to include collaborations, campaigns, etc. Whether it is at trade shows or special events we are at the forefront to help serve artists across our roster in any capacity that helps build their brand. This role will be working with the entire team in varied capacities and across the diverse roster that include artists such as Wiz Khalifa and Cardi B to the Grateful Dead and Green Day. Internally, this person will help keep the team on track as it relates to product development, scheduling, sales material creation and upkeep, and general organization. Externally, this role will serve as the first line of defense and main point of contact as it relates to all retailer/artist collaboration and development with our growing list of retail partners.

Why this could be your next big break:

No day is the same on this team as we serve a diverse roster of artists and coordinate with a multitude and varied list of retail partners. Due to the small nature of the team, everyone has a voice and the ability to contribute ideas. In a changing landscape, this is an opportunity to learn many aspects of the music industry beyond just the music; an opportunity to touch and feel an artist's vision; an opportunity to see ideas come to life and the fans appreciation in real time.

Here you'll get to:
• You will be the primary contact for all things retail and production and therefore will be communicating daily with buyers, production resources, managing the inventorying and distribution of product samples, reviewing all product concepts and routing for approval, maintaining all development status sheets, onboarding all new retailers and printers, handling and organizing all sales sheets/lookbooks and sharpening your eye for detail when it comes to product and artist specifications.
• You will have a heavy administrative role in organizing the team. Tasks include billing and tracking, management of PO's and delivery dates, sample tracking, updating retail sales and reporting tools, cost sheet analysis, tradeshow calendars and registration, and other department needs.
• You will be regularly communicating with team members on ongoing special projects, participate in brainstorms, proactively research trends, and be a vocal and contributing member of the team.
• You will be responsible for creating and maintaining sales materials such as onesheets and pitch presentation decks, lookbooks, and monthly newsletters.
• You will be assisting in the communication between product managers, sales, finance, creative and production
• You will look to current trends, articles, and exciting new product ideas in both the physical and digital world to contribute as an active participant in brainstorms with the team.

About you:
• You have past experience in music merchandising or the fashion/apparel industry
• You have the ability to multi-task on a variety of projects simultaneously and change direction as need be.
• You have strong verbal and written communication and problem solving skills.
• You have an eye for detail, a passion for the work, a proactive spirit and willingness to learn.
• You have proficiency in Microsoft Office suite specifically PowerPoint.
• You have the understanding that while the role can feel administrative at times, there is the ability to expand your knowledge base, relationships, and personal growth over time.
• You have a good handle on social media, are up on lifestyle trends, but can also rock an Excel document if need be.

It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• College Degree preferred
• 2+ years experience in the retail, product, music and/or entertainment industry.
• Relationships or previous experience working with retailers or in a sales or operations role.
