Job Title: Coordinator, A&R Research & Analytics
A little bit about our team:
The A&R Research team at Warner Records is a fast-paced and collaborative team working to identify and sign emerging artists. This role will be working with the whole Warner Records A&R team.
Your role:
The Coordinator, A&R Research & Analytics will provide critical administrative and research support to the A&R team. This role is essential in streamlining the A&R process by organizing information, tracking emerging talent, and facilitating communication within the department and across the wider company. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, possesses strong research and analytical skills, has a genuine passion for music and has a keen understanding of the current music landscape.
Here you'll get to:
• Talent Research & Discovery:
• Proactively research and vet emerging artists across various genres and platforms (e.g., Music Connect, Sodatone, Chartmetric, and Mediabase) on a constant and ongoing basis
• Maintain and update databases and tracking systems for potential talent, including but not limited to contact information, performance history, and relevant metrics
• Compile and present research findings in clear and concise reports, including artist bios, performance statistics, and market analysis
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging musical styles
• Administrative & Organizational Support:
• Organize and maintain reporting and files, ensuring easy access to information
• Coordinate internal and external meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items
• Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documents
• Communication & Collaboration:
• Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries for the A&R team.
• Facilitate communication and information flow between the A&R research team and other departments
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with A&R staff, executives and relevant external parties
• Project & Event Support:
• Assist with the coordination of new artist meetings
• Help manage logistics and provide on-site support as needed
• Assist with special projects as assigned by A&R research executives
About you:
• Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Entertainment Management, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably within the music industry
• Demonstrated passion for music and a strong understanding of various genres and the current music landscape
• Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and insights
• Experience with music streaming platforms, social media analytics, and online research tools
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information
• A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving
