Warner Bros. Games Boston is a Warner Bros. Games development studio focused on creating free-to-play games for mobile platforms. The studio is utilizing its extensive expertise in creating persistent online worlds that foster powerful social gaming communities to develop its hit mobile game, Game of Thrones: Conquest.

WB Games Boston seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer to work on the core server platform supporting Game of Thrones: Conquest and other titles.

The WB Games Boston core server team is responsible for the underlying technology used to build and run games in the cloud. We are concerned with both developer and end user experience interacting with our platform.

The Daily
• Build, deploy, and support CloudFormation stacks in AWS
• Design, architect, and implement solutions for platform features while improving developer experience
• Work with developers (both technical and non-technical) to find solutions and optimizations to their processes and deliver value to the team
• Mentor junior engineers to improve their skills

The Essentials
• Proficient in basic software development including coding (in any language), data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis (big-O), and systems design; specifically distributed and cloud based architectures
• Growth mindset and good listening skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and employ a customer focused approach to your work
• Advocate for best-in-class solutions
• Create implementations that can be used as reference for others
• Provide analysis of workflows and suggestions for improvement
