The Job

The Producer II is responsible for the creation of digital collectibles in the form of NFTs, inspired by CNN's 40 years of global news coverage. If you are a history buff and enjoy spending time deep in the CNN archives, this is the role for you. The Producer II is responsible for identifying moments in history that would be of interest to digital collectors, and working with a cross-functional team including graphic designers, editorial partners, legal, CNN standards, and business operations to bring those moments to life as NFTs. This role has primary editorial responsibility for moment selection, production, and promotion.

The Daily
--Develop deep knowledge of CNN's 40+ year archive, to select the most important and compelling moments to offer as NFTs.
--Develop and execute new and creative ideas for how to bring CNN's archive to life for collectors.
--Partner with graphic designers throughout NFT production process.
--Write headlines and descriptive copy to explain the historic importance of each moment selected.
--Work closely with partners in CNN Legal and Standards to ensure highest quality of NFT offerings.
--Collaborate across CNN on release and promotion plans for NFT offerings.
--Collaborate with business operations partners on sales planning and pricing strategy.
--Take on more leadership responsibilities as the team grows, including potential management of direct reports.

The Essentials
--5+ years of experience in a national or major media market
--Expertise in post-production software such as Adobe Premiere, Avid NewsCutter or similar
--Keen news judgment, a love of journalism, and deep knowledge of historic events of the past 40+ years on a range of topics
--Track record of collaborating across teams in a deadline-driven environment
--A portfolio of creative work in the news space, and strong organizational skills
--Must be able to work holidays, weekends, overnights, and extended hours as deadlines require
