Your New Role...

WB Games Inc. seeks a Lead Software Engineer for the WB Games NY Studio.

As a Lead Software Engineer at WB Games NY (a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment), you will be working primarily on our online platform called ''Player Network'', in addition to some other internal technologies. Our Player Network consists of both server (e.g. identity, friends), as well as player-facing destinations or clients (e.g. websites, PC launcher).

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a development team under the Player Network focused on the client aspect. In this role, you will be working with a highly talented team of engineers, product managers, producers, and business specialists to understand requirements, and deliver clients that meets those requirements.

This position can be based in the Troy NY studio or remotely from another US based location.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• You will need to provide technical mentorship and guidance for a team of engineers
• You will review completed engineering tasks in collaboration with other leads
• We are looking for someone who is comfortable teasing out important requirements and helping to design end products that are sustainable and maintainable for years to come.
• We like hands-on leadership. We will be expecting you to spend time in the code with the team support them in building the best products.
• You will play a critical role in our product planning process, ensuring that we are making commitments that are reasonable and achievable at high a quality threshold.
• You will work directly with our Director of Engineering to ensure that your delivered products align with our company's values and vision.

Qualifications & Experience...
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in the development of complex technical products
• Proficient in reading and writing software in some general-purpose programming language(s)
• A firm understanding of what is means to build products that scale to millions of players
• Experience with databases (NoSQL experience is a plus, since we primarily use MongoDB, RedisDB, and ElasticSearch)
• Experience using and creating APIs
• Must have excellent communication skills

The Legal Bits…
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $115,500.00 - $214,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
