The Job

The Coordinators for Standards & Practices provide critical, time-sensitive support to ensure that the S&P team is able to provide timely review and effective communication of all edits, ratings and sensitive issues related to original and licensed programming elements on the Turner entertainment television networks and HBO Max (excluding the originals and licensed programs under the HBO brand). The Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating the receipt and processing of all submitted materials, tracking and prioritizing various content elements for S&P review based upon production and telecast/release deadlines, identifying potential concerns, and communicating related to upcoming deadlines or materials needed. The Coordinator may communicate directly with external film studios in addition to key stakeholders within WarnerMedia such as the programing and production teams and handle other administrative matters such as generating reports, conducting research of programming schedules, maintaining accurate information in archival databases related to content and assigned show ratings, and other duties as requested.

The Daily
• The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all programming production elements to be reviewed by S&P for HBO Max and assigned legacy Turner television networks (TBS, TNT, truTV, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and/or Boomerang) are tracked. The Coordinator logs, downloads and archives all incoming elements, and tracks and archives outgoing approvals, edit requests and related correspondence with the S&P team. The Coordinator will send regular updates to the S&P team listing elements that are outstanding, noting the date received and deadlines. The Coordinator will communicate with asset management, production and post production teams to request access to request scripts, screeners and other assets or files as needed. The Coordinator may assist with filing and purging of physical and digital versions of elements that are reviewed (e.g. outlines, premises, scripts, DVDs, etc.).
• The Coordinator conducts database research as needed related to past or upcoming programs and schedules and is responsible for updating, organizing and maintaining the integrity of S&P ratings database(s) to ensure that an accurate record of all S&P-rated content for HBO Max and the Turner television networks is maintained for future reference. Having reliable, accurate and searchable archives and information is essential to the S&P team and its ability to provide consistent decision-making from an informed basis for discussing past and new precedents, and to consult with the programming teams and identify content that raises potential concerns based upon breaking news and sensitive issues. The Coordinator will communicate missing ratings to Programming and other groups as needed.
• The Coordinator is responsible for tracking metrics for all elements reviewed by S&P for HBO Max and the assigned television networks and area of responsibility. These metrics must be detailed and able to be sorted by network or distribution platform, show, episode, element type, date or S&P editor who reviewed content. The Coordinator also may be responsible for researching, tracking and documenting all acquired media that is to be delivered based on programming licensing deals in order to keep the editors updated and supplied with materials and information as well as compiling edit notes received from temporary editors. The Coordinator provides reports to S&P management on a regular basis outlining current metrics and comparisons to previous months/quarters/years in order to understand production demands.
• The Coordinator will be tasked with special projects and other work responsibilities. The Coordinator will assist the Senior Coordinator responsible for monitoring breaking news, identifying notable public events such as natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and deaths of public figures, researching and cross-referencing any programming that contains similar events or the individuals at issue, and alerting executives about upcoming scheduling that potentially could be perceived as insensitive by viewers. The Coordinator will notify S&P management and network programming executives of any matches or potential concerns in a timely manner in order to allow programming and scheduling to make time-sensitive decisions about programming schedules, changes and/or disclaimers that programming may elect to make.
