CONTEXT OF THE ROLE:

We are looking for a passionate specialist who loves making a difference and plays to win to drive client and partner value as part of Local and International Sales Specialist in Warner Bros. Discovery Networks Japan (WBD Japan). WBD Japan is not a traditional scaled media business. It is a powerful network of millions of passionate enthusiasts, engaged in their passions in the lean-back world of TV, the lean forward world of online streaming, the community of social media, or real live events. WBD's value proposition to brands and marketers is effective content marketing to these groups, around the world to billions of viewers, with a trusted brand of WBD, and with second-to-none creative solutions. In the digital space we combine our millions of subscribers on YouTube, and our passionate followers across social media to either anchor or complement our solutions. Through advertising they also provide steady revenue streams.

The successful candidate for this position will be a dedicated sales-minded individual to manage our local and international solutions business, including agency and client development, proposal development, and delivery and execution, coordinating with a Japan sales team and an international organization in Singapore, Paris and London. They will be a sales person focused on growing the agency and client relationships. The individual should be able to support and inspire a seasoned and driven team of sales execs to look at efficient ways to drive revenue growth combining digital with our overall solution across TV, digital and experiences, across our worldwide network in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop sales plans, new business development, and pipeline to maximize our ad sales revenue with big scale pitching not only selling TV spots but with solution sales across WBD's world-wide properties.
• Be a front line sales person to clients and agencies, and pitching to agencies and clients directly for our products. The campaign markets are both Japan and international territories.
• Look for innovative ways of revenue growth for WBD by creating new products and pricing models for our international and local products. Be smart at bundling across our assets and inventory and sponsorship of tentpole products shows and creative solutions, partnerships and productizing our International solutions.
• Should be able to partner with the Japan, regional and global leadership teams internally to drive 360 Deals: TV and digital, Japan and international, social media and experiences - leverage the unique proposition of WBD. Build collaborative relationships cross functionally within the organization.
• Clear and contagious passion for our product and understanding of client needs - devours data about our products and services.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

5-10 years' experience in advertising sales, both for Japan-local and international clients. Knowledge and experience of the digital or TV advertising industry are must. A proven track record of driving growth in challenging markets. Strong connections for ad agencies and advertisers. High energy and positive attitude Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English. Exceptional teamwork - team and cross functional, ability to establish collaborative win-win relationships.
