The Staff, Product Manager - Workday Configuration will play a crucial role in the Workday Engineering department, focusing on the implementation and delivery of Workday configuration solutions on a global scale. This role is essential for driving Workday configuration initiatives, ensuring alignment with business
objectives , and enhancing system functionality across the enterprise. The position will be based in Atlanta and will report directly to the Director, Workday Engineering.
As a key contributor in the Workday Engineering department, the Product Manager - Workday Configuration will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of Workday configuration projects. The focus will be on strategic product management, implementation, team management, and the enhancement of Workday processes.
Key responsibilities include leading Workday configuration efforts, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery of Workday initiatives. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in product management, Workday solutions, and cross-functional collaboration.
Your Role Accountabilities :
PRODUCT OWNERSHIP
• Manage end-to-end Workday configuration initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with the enterprise roadmap.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure contributions align with project
objectives .
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations from the plan.
• Facilitate regular project status updates with stakeholders to communicate progress, gather feedback, and ensure alignment on deliverables and
objectives .
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration of Workday configurations with existing systems and processes.
LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY
• Lead Workday configuration efforts within the Workday Engineering department, focusing on the delivery of initiatives , including directly supervising three Workday Configuration Senior Analysts and one Workday Configuration Analyst
• Develop and execute a strategic plan for Workday configuration, aligning with broader business goals and system
objectives .
• Collaborate closely with the Director, Workday Engineering to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution of Workday projects.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Workday configuration team.
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, business units, and external partners.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between Workday configuration teams and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of system initiatives.
• Act as a key advocate for Workday configuration, securing buy-in from Business Unit, Corporate, and T&O stakeholders.
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
• Establish and promote a culture of operational excellence within the Workday configuration team, driving initiatives that improve system delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts by analyzing workflows and identifying
optimization opportunities, leveraging automation and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, reduce redundancies, and enhance the customer experience through improved system delivery.
Qualifications & Experiences:
• 8 + years of experience in product management, Workday configuration, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record
of leading Workday configuration initiatives, particularly with a focus on system delivery.
• Demonstrated success in managing and mentoring teams in a global enterprise environment.
• Experience with Workday and other industry-leading platforms to enable configuration transformation.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide high-performing teams.
• Strong track record
of building and maintaining strategic relationships across all organizational levels.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , Information Technology, or a related field ( Master's preferred)
Not Required but preferred experience:
• Workday certification in relevant modules.
• Certification in Product Management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
• Familiarity with media and entertainment industries or experience in a national/global organization.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
