Sr. Product Manager (People Data Lifecycle & Compliance)
The Sr. Product Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Peopledata Lifecycle & Compliance initiatives within the organization. This position is based in Atlanta and is responsible for managing the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with data governance and privacy regulations, and driving product innovation. The role is crucial for ensuring that products meet regulatory requirements and align with organizational goals.
As a key contributor to the Peopledata Lifecycle & Compliance team, the Sr. Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective management and support of data compliance initiatives. The focus will be on product management, data governance, and continuous improvement of compliance processes.
Key responsibilities include managing product lifecycles, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of compliance initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in product management and data governance.
Your Role Accountabilities:
PRODUCT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT (30%)
• Lead and manage the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop product roadmaps, timelines, and resource allocation to effectively manage product initiatives.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure product objectives are met and deliverables are achieved.
• Monitor product progress and implement corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations from the plan.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
DATA GOVERNANCE & COMPLIANCE (25%)
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure products meet regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Maintain documentation of data governance processes and compliance procedures.
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT (25%)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including legal, compliance, IT, and business units.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders to ensure alignment on compliance initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users to translate requirements and ensure successful implementation of compliance projects.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on product progress and compliance status.
• Address stakeholder concerns and feedback to ensure satisfaction and alignment with organizational goals.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT (20%)
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements within compliance initiatives.
• Lead initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance the efficiency of compliance operations.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in compliance management.
• Develop and implement best practices for product management and data governance.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Qualifications & Experiences:
• 9 to 11 years of experience in product management and data governance, preferably within technology , finance, or healthcare industries.
• Proven track record of managing complex product lifecycles and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology , Business Administration, or a related field.
Not Required but preferred experience:
• Certifications in data governance or privacy (e.g., CIPP, CIPM).
• Experience with data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Familiarity with the media and entertainment industries or experience in a global organization.
