Your New Role…

As part of the Tools Team in our Core Technology team, you will be joining a team that works with all disciplines to make current and future games. You will be working with fellow coders, artists and designers to architect and improve workflows and tools with good opportunity to contribute and make a real mark on the games. The team has a wide breadth of experience with opportunities to both learn and teach cutting-edge technologies, which includes procedural content generation and web tools.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Architect and deliver tools and workflows for a very broad and challenging variety of problems (including, but not limited to, procedural content generation and performance analysis)
• Working with all developers across multiple disciplines for their tooling requirements
• Providing code support to technical artists
• Follow good software engineering practices with regards to codebase, code documentation and auto-testing
• Working with and mentoring other team members
• Supporting the team lead and tech production in planning out tasks for delivery

Qualifications & Experience…
• Strong C++ programming experience
• Strong C# programming experience
• Knowledge of common UI paradigms
• Knowledge of how to debug unfamiliar code and optimise performance and memory usage

Desirable but not essential...
• Strong capability to work with other programming languages as appropriate to task (for example, TypeScript, Python)
• Familiarity with UX APIs and implementing user interfaces (e.g., Unreal Editor, WPF, Blazor)
• Beneficial to have experience with UE4/5 (blueprints, editor, plugins), Maya and Houdini
• Desirable any experience in database architecture and Docker
• Experience working in Agile
