The Senior Producer is responsible for is responsible for leading the video programming strategy on CNN's core platforms - including Desktop, Mobile Web, Apps - and social platforms (including YouTube and TikTok) that support our video business. In addition, the Senior Producer collaborates with other teams to elevate video content, uses insights to inform their decision-making, and manages and supports team members on their career development.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Leads daily programming shifts, collaborating with the global programming team to develop tactics that elevate video to audiences and guiding junior team members in assignments
• Programs both core platforms and off-platform accounts, monitoring content performance and using real-time data to adjust tactics that deliver on business goals
• Manages direct reports, providing coaching to further team members' career development
• Collaborates with video leadership to develop long-term video growth strategies and build cross-functional relationships
• Can pitch, develop, and execute programming tactics and ideas independently
• Communicates programming insights to key stakeholders
• Communicates network and video programming priorities with team
• Leads conversations with the team that encourage innovation and growth
Qualifications & Experience…
• Four-year college degree. Journalism degree preferred
• 7+ years producing/writing/editing in a major news market
• 1-2 years experience managing others
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing system
• Ability to analyze data and share insights to inform editorial decision-making
• Excellent communication skills, news judgment, and headline-writing skills
• Ability to lead during breaking news situations
• Ability to independently make editorial decisions while programming core platforms
• Conveys spirit of teamwork, positive attitude (eager, energetic, team-oriented)
• Flexibility (can deal with rapid changes in news, adapt to breaking news, and handle several tasks at once)
• Must be able to adapt to a 24h/7 days a week news environment
• Must be able to work shifts at all times of day and night

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $82,768.00 - $153,712.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
