Warner Bros. Games San Diego is creating the next generation of high quality, cross-platform games that bring iconic and beloved characters to life. As a Senior Designer, Systems, you will design compelling game systems, and mechanics and work with a team of engineers, artists, UX designers, producers and product managers to see their implementation. Cooperation, collaboration and creativity are key in this role.

The Daily
• Work with the Design Manager and creative stakeholders to develop game systems and mechanics appropriate to a game's IP and creative vision.
• Create game design documents that communicate concepts and define requirements to other team members across different disciplines.
• Balance game mechanics for a free-to-play cross platform competitive online game.
• Tune and maintain economy in a live free-to-play game.

The Essentials
• 5+ years experience making successful games, especially competitive online titles.
• University degree or equivalent work experience.
• Background in game design, computer science or equivalent is a plus.
• Deep understanding of the F2P market.
• Familiarity with Unreal preferred.
• Strong math and analytic skills.
• Excellent spreadsheet skills and familiarity with Excel or equivalent.
• Good writing and design documentation skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills and familiarity with Powerpoint/Google Slides or equivalent presentation software.
• Ability to cast Time Stop or other means of time/space disruption is a plus.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $84,123.00 - $156,228.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
