Rocksteady is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Designer who is ready for the challenge of bringing our next AAA title to life.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working within UE4/5 to create and iterate on inspiring layouts, and game mechanics that players will enjoy over and over again.
You will be well versed in Design fundamentals such as space, movement, metrics, signposting, composition and how to maximise these elements to make the experience fun for the player.
These are essential.
Most of all, you enjoy Designing Levels!
Key Responsibilities
• Your work will include maintaining and keeping design documentation up-to-date and keeping other teams current on changes to the features you and the team are working on.
• Work closely with the Lead Designer and with relevant departments to ensure that the design goals for our features shine through in the game experience.
• Along with the Lead Designer, you will help mentor and develop the Design Team
• Work closely with the relevant teams and you will be expected to include them in your design process, along with reviews and improve the features being developed.
• Direct and work with the design team to create, iterate and refine levels and mechanics that provide a fun, balanced and engaging experience
• You should be a positive, proactive, and contributing team member, both within the team and across the studio.
Requirements
• Exceptional level building and logic implementation skills in Unreal Editor 4/5 and Blueprints
• High-level understanding of what makes games fun and how to create fun experiences through design.
• Be proactive, versatile, willing to learn and open to help with any part of the development process where you can.
• Technical knowledge to debug and troubleshoot Design issues as they arise.
• Relevant knowledge of creating game design documents and prototype specifications
• Love video games.
Bonus Points
• Strong artistic knowledge and understanding of Art Dev processes.
• Knowledge of architectural principles.
• Knowledge of procedural programs such as Houdini.
• Strong understanding of systems designs and game balancing.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
