Assisting the People & Culture Partner in providing seamless support to our Technology Operations (including Broadcast) business areas and leaders based in the UK, connecting with US and EMEA colleagues as relevant.
Playing a key role in delivering on all priorities and activities that impact our people and our culture, from organisational change and recruitment through to advising managers and supporting all cyclical people processes. Providing proactive support and solutions which are up-to-date, fit for purpose, commercial and legally compliant.
Supporting across the People & Culture team with people related actions that interface with other People & Culture centres of excellence, such as P&C Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• First point of contact for your client groups providing robust advice to line managers on HR Issues.
• Work closely with the P&C Business Partner on Employee Relations matters to resolve performance, absence, grievance and disciplinary issues as necessary, including restructures and redundancy. This includes attendance at meetings and note taking as necessary.
• Support the P&C Partner and leaders with all people and organisational change as well as with BAU people processes.
• Develop close working relationships across your client groups and the wider P&C team to understand the commercial priorities in order to facilitate people and organisational solutions that enable the business to achieve its goals.
• Enable organisational change by supporting with org design, talent acquisition and onboarding and associated processes, such as – systems position management, recruitment, contracts, onboarding – by being the interface between the business and the relevant P&C areas.
• Supporting your client groups to proactively identify areas for improvement.
• Support the implementation of new initiatives coming from the specialist P&C CoE teams as well as managing cyclical processes, such as the annual merit review, promotions cycles and employee survey participation.
• Be the day to day interface with the Employee Connections team to help facilitate all requests for employee and position changes, ensure that data is updated accurately.
• Work closely with the P&C Partner to create and report on people metrics.
• Actively participate in ad hoc HR projects and initiatives as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience...
• Excellent organisational and planning skills developed within in a fast-paced, high change, matrix environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills - able to build good connections and relationships.
• Solid understanding of HR processes and life cycle including some experience in managing employee relations.
• Good understanding of employment law.
• Commercial awareness – curious about the business to maximise your understanding and value add.
• Collaborative and proactive – maintain close links with CofEs and the P&C Operations service (Employee Connection) to ensure forward planning and smooth execution so that the business is supported in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate the capability to self-prioritise and manage a varied and busy workload with the ability to flex and adapt as needed. Including the ability to make day to day decisions when supporting managers while knowing when escalation is appropriate.
• Can flex between partnering managers on mid to longer term issues and being hands on as needed, especially during a period of high change.
• Able to manage small projects and change programmes related to your business groups as required.
• Must have strong Excel or similar skills that demonstrate the ability to analyse and interpret P&C data.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
