Your New Role...
Manages and coordinates the process for Productions to access production incentives offered by various territories, states, provinces, cities and federal governments.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Implements procedures to adhere to all tax incentive rules, regulations and guidelines.
• Coordinates with Physical Production, Production Finance and production accountants throughout the production process to maintain the integrity of the production incentives.
• Prepares, analyzes and reviews preliminary and final incentive calculations.
• Ensures a project will qualify for an incentive by researching all applicable rules, communicating to the stakeholders and monitoring compliance throughout the project's life cycle.
• Reviews cost reports and audit detailed production costs for coding accuracy.
• Ensures all WBD internal and divisional policies are implemented and maintained.
• Prepares preliminary and final incentive applications.
• Oversee production incentive audit process as required by jurisdiction with either government or third party auditors.
• Maintains and updates internal incentive tracking database.
• Coordinates with internal departments (e.g. Finance, Tax, Legal, etc).
• Participate in turnover meetings from the production accountant to the post accountant and ensure receipt of all incentive related matters;
• Represents the Production Planning department in meetings with film commissions, tax authorities and other industry events.
• Liaise with international consultants and service providers on all production incentive related matters;
• Performs other related duties, special projects and ad hoc incentive analysis as needed.
• Statutory audits of the UK Production SVC companies
• VAT reporting
Qualifications & Experience...
• Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of Movie Magic, PSL, VISTA, Smart Accounting, Excel would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage.
• Must have full understanding of production management and accounting.
• Must have experience working on production tax incentives worldwide.
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of the production and post-production process.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel.
• Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively.
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
