Your New Role...

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Distribution Security Technology, the Manager, Distribution Security Technology role will perform due diligence on content protection technologies and other technical aspects of content delivery systems in use by potential Warner Bros. Discovery licensees and affiliates globally. Primary responsibilities include analysis of technical questionnaires submitted by potential licensees to ensure alignment with requirements. The Manager will regularly interact with WBD's Legal, Distribution & Licensing teams as well as global licensees and affiliates.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Performs due diligence on content protection technologies and other technical aspects of content delivery systems in use by potential Warner Bros. Discovery licensees by reviewing technical questionnaires submitted by potential licensees and providing feedback to the licensee, to their supervisor, and Warner Bros. Discovery sales and legal teams.
• Provide a summary report on systems reviewed to supervisor for final approval.
• Meet with vendors who may have technology of interest to Warner Bros. Discovery for protecting and distributing content.
• Stay familiar with media industry standards and practices related to digital transmission and content protection.
• Represent WBD in content & distribution security industry groups and standards bodies (NCTA, SMPTE, MPA, CDSA, MovieLabs, etc.).

Qualifications & Experience...
• 5-7 years of experience in distribution engineering or systems engineering, preferably related to broadcast/cable television or OTT platforms. Advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of content protection systems and technologies (digital rights management/conditional access systems, watermarking, geo-filtering, output protection technologies).
• Knowledge of audio/video/digital compression and transmission systems.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Builds and maintains collaborative relationships; values the diversity of people, programming and perspectives; displays the ability to work in a team environment and solicits input from a variety of individuals, departments, and divisions.
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.

This position is required to work in person at one of our locations in the United States. WBD requires anyone working in our workplaces in the US to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The Legal Bits…
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $109,900.00 - $204,100.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
