The Job

People Relations (''PR'') is a People & Culture Center of Expertise (''CoE'') comprised of a team of seasoned investigators located in the US and EMEA. The primary function of the CoE is to conduct objective, balanced, and thorough investigations into claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other serious policy violations in the workplace. Reporting to the Director of People Relations, LatAm, the LatAm Investigator will be a key point of contact for our employees based in Miami, Atlanta, and across Latin America. You will personally conduct employment investigations involving employees across all business units, including local productions. Together with Employment Legal and local People & Culture Partners, you will take an active role in outsourced investigations. At the onset, you will be asked to localize the domestic investigation process and adopt PR's values and initiatives. You will also conduct investigations in other regions outside of LatAm as needed. The ideal candidate must be able to speak, read, and write fluent Portuguese, Spanish, and English. The expectation is for you to forge trusted relationships with the Employment attorneys, local People & Culture Partners, Security, and other global key stakeholders to resolve complex employment issues. You will identify trends related to claims and make recommendations to address issues identified--these may include partnership with the DEI team, training opportunities, culture enhancements, or changes to disciplinary action protocols. The ideal candidate will be located near one of our regional offices in LatAm, preferably in Buenos Aires, São Paulo, or Mexico City. Flexible availability is required as Global colleagues and partners will be located in various countries and time zones.

You will:
• Manage and directly conduct investigations in LatAm adhering to the CoE's investigation process striving for consistency across Business Units and territories
• Adopt the CoE's standards of integrity, objectivity, thoroughness, and of treating investigation participants with dignity and respect
• Advocate for consistency in investigatory processes, resolution, discipline, and department philosophies across the region
• Draft documents such as investigation summaries, conclusion talking points, closing memos, corroboration charts, investigation update emails, and other investigation-related documents in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or English, as needed
• Translate written and verbal communications from English to Spanish and Portuguese and vice-versa
• Enter cases into the case management system on a timely basis and comply with related requests from the Strategy and Operations team
• Liaise with local stakeholders on the sourcing, creation and/or coordination of training sessions. On occasion may be asked to facilitate ad hoc training sessions
• Represent People Relations on the Threat Management Unit
• Stay current on changes to local laws and ordinances, local and US employment law and best practices across the various countries

The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree required / JD desirable
• Language Requirement: Fluency in verbal and written Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
• Must be able to translate written and verbal communications
• Demonstrated hands-on investigations experience, ideally in EEO (Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation)
• Demonstrated progressive Human Resources management or employment law experience
• Entertainment industry experience desirable
• Must have operative knowledge of federal/local laws governing employment issues in Latin America and the US
• Must have familiarity with Latin American business protocols and culture
• Must be able to demonstrate operative knowledge of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures
• Must be able to handle multiple investigations and projects simultaneously
• Must be able to handle investigations with complete discretion, objectivity, and consistency
• Must be able to exercise keen judgment when analyzing and resolving employment issues
• Must have excellent follow-through and a strong sense of urgency
• Must be able to research and analyze data and findings
• Must have ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel including attorneys and business unit executives
• Must be able to utilize diplomacy, assertiveness, and adaptability in working with senior executives throughout the organization
