SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Associate, Franchise Management and Marketing, is a member of the larger, global Animation, Genre and Live Action TV Franchise Management and Marketing team, which includes iconic animation franchises such as Looney Tunes and Rick and Morty, classic horror and holiday films like IT and Elf, and beloved live action TV series like Friends and Abbot Elementary. This team is responsible for the global management of the franchises which includes driving the strategic planning process, Franchise tool development and the marketing activation of all franchise activities.
This role is based in our Burbank office and reports to the Sr. Manager, Cartoon Network and Genre with parallel support of the Director, Classic Animation and the Director of Live Action TV. It is a global role responsible for marketing approvals; development of marketing materials; providing brand guidance to global teams; and supporting the creation of Franchise Plans and marketing initiatives.
Other projects and duties may be assigned dependent on business development and needs.
The position requires strong written and verbal communication and liaises with internal and external parties, including but not limited to other WBD Divisions, vendors, colleagues around the world, etc. All communication is done in a professional and timely manner. Innovative thinking, organization and strong project management skills are essential.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reviews, routes and approves all partner marketing submissions for assigned franchises
• Develops materials for franchise presentation decks, licensee and retailer pitch decks, sizzle videos, and similar related materials needed to drive the franchise
• Drives acquisition and routing of new content assets
• Obtains necessary internal, external and 3rd party approvals (including Legal, Brand Assurance usage rights, and Talent) for all CP driven marketing materials and assets for partners
• Assists in executing franchise strategies and marketing initiatives in support of core franchises and individual properties (e.g. Looney Tunes, Rick and Morty, Friends)
• Leads WB Horror social media strategy and calendar for Horror Icons Instagram channeland works with agency to develop innovative marketing approaches to engage fans
• Assists in executing social media content strategy and calendar for other assigned franchises
• Maintains Brand Assurance guidelines and ensure timely updates and team communication
• Solicits industry and competitive trend information from Sales/Retail, Category, Creative/Product Development and Global Insights teams as well as external data sources
JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Work Experience
• Minimum 3 years marketing experience required
• Franchise development experience a plus
• Experience in the Animation TV and/or Film industry a plus
• Significant breadth and depth of WB franchise knowledge preferred (i.e. Looney Tunes)
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• College Graduate with coursework in business; marketing coursework preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
• Must be well organized with effective and proven planning and follow-through skills
• Candidate must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; Photoshop and Illustrator knowledge is a plus
• Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Clear understanding of marketing principles
• Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures
• Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage
• Knowledge of digital platforms and social media marketing tools
• Strong understanding of Licensing preferred
• Fluent command of the English language required; second language is a plus

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $47,466.00 - $88,150.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
