Your New Role

The Contract Analyst provides support to the Scripted TV Legal team, including drafting of above-the-line personal service contracts; reviewing and/or drafting of other production related documents [e.g. certificates of engagement, non-disclosure agreements, set visit forms, etc.], and ongoing administrative and organizational support for multiple attorney desks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Your Role Accountabilities
• Receives and processes initial deal memos/assignments received from Business Affairs, Production, Casting, etc. Prepares initial draft of the contract(s) and certificate(s) and determines correct form(s) and attachment(s). Incorporates deal points and other deal specific terms, as well as standard WBTV terms where necessary. Determines appropriate contracting entity and ensures compliance with WB corporate policies. Also conducts online business search to ensure loanouts are active and in good standing, saving search results to e-files. After review by attorney incorporates changes, and after final review disseminates externally and internally. Prepares drafts of and circulates final legal documents including contracts, deal memos, cover letters, and other legal documents as deemed necessary. Proofs documents for formatting, grammatical and typographical errors.
• Maintains follow up/tickler system to ensure timely receipt of comments or executed certificates and long form agreements. Maintains contract status report for each attorney, including daily updating to ensure status reports are continuously kept up to date. Monitors receipt of signed documents (including updating document profiles) and follows up with agents/attorneys on any outstanding paperwork. Responsible for making and circulating all necessary copies of documents and arranging for mailing out of contracts. Also responsible for internal distribution and e-filing of all agreements, emails and other correspondence.
• Upon receipt of executed actor TODs, issues standard terms and conditions including pre-approved revision of such terms depending on talent's representation. Issues MAG definition to profit participants.
• Handles all Set Visit requests; prepares and sends Set Visit agreements, interfaces directly with production personnel and organizations to which the Set Visits are being awarded.
• Issues initial Certificate of Authorship and follows up to ensure timely receipt of executed copy of the Certificate, which is required both to initiate timely payment and confirm WBTV ownership of all materials as a work for hire. Promptly forwards all signed documents to finance, including proper instructions based on the nature of the signed document.
• Performs other related duties as assigned; which requires flexibility and prompt responses due to fluid nature of production (e.g., interface with clearance group for timely feedback to productions, etc.)

Qualifications & Experience
• At least 3-5 years of previous studio television experience in business or legal affairs required.
• Legal secretarial or office administrative background strongly preferred.
• Inter-personal skills; knowledge of professional office environment. College degree preferred
• Typing: 70 wpm
• Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Outlook required.
• Strong administrative, drafting and organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Must have strong administrative and communications skills (verbal and written). And be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
• Willing to work in a team environment and take direction.
