Content Sourcing & Acquisitions Executive GSA (F/M/D)

Your New Role…

We are currently looking for a Content Sourcing & Acquisitions Executive for our Munich office. Reporting to Senior Content Manager Western Europe, you will be a central content head that offers true guidance in the evaluation and selection of the best performing Internal library and 3rd Party acquisitions to drive growth in the EMEA region, and specifically the German market across all media and platforms.

Working closely with the local content team on all aspects of programme sourcing and supply, the Content Sourcing & Acquisitions Exec is responsible for ensuring all programming information and tracking systems are also up-to-date.

This role will have specific responsibility for ensuring a smooth and collaborative acquisitions buy-in process across Germany and/or with other FTA markets to achieve maximum agility and

effectiveness in our dealings with our content suppliers.

The role reports to the Sourcing and Acquisitions Sn Manager UK, Benelux and GSA and may require planning & analysis on specific content projects across the International & EMEA business.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Within the EMEA content team support the sourcing of new content that suits the German portfolio including linear and SVOD brands liaising with the planning and content heads in the market to clearly define and execute a competitive acquisitions strategy.
• Evaluate & track content making editorial decisions in line with the requirements of channel brands and services assigned within the portfolio with a focus on non-scripted.
• Work closely with other executives in the Team, Group VP EMEA, Content Insights and Business Affairs to ensure we are well positioned to acquire the best performing programming titles.
• Co-ordinate the editorial process evaluations including local screenings and tracking of suppliers feedback.
• Maintain documents highlighting program information, working closely with the Planning central group to identify and recommend titles across Internal sources that will complement Acquired content.
• Attend all US and International content and programming calls and inform the regional teams of any key updates.
• Ensure program planners, reversioning teams, rights groups are aware of any changes in status of upcoming programs.
• Work closely with Programme Ops to ensure materials meet the delivery deadlines for Language and transmissions
• Manage the renewal process of local acquisitions

Qualifications & Experience…
• Previous experience in either acquisitions or distribution with good understanding of German media landscape
• Understanding of licencing rights and windows
• Good editorial eye and passion for content
• German language as well as fluency in English
• Understanding and usage of Google tools as well as Microsoft tools required
