Your New Role…

The Advanced Artist is responsible for creating art of the highest quality and is a recognized studio leading contributor. This person will work closely with the Lead Character Artist along with the Directors of Art to ensure that the aesthetic quality is kept at the highest-bar bar across the levels. This person will be well versed in the game engine, art tools, and will be responsible for coordinating with a team of junior artists, and artists, to complete levels. Additionally, the Advanced Artist is responsible for mentoring junior artists, as well as, researching, developing, and recommending new art tech/design that pushes our quality bar forward.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Create highly-original, next-gen game character art.
• Strategically partner and plan with Design and Technical Art to achieve highly creative, visually-stunning, characters.
• Translate concept and reference artwork into 3D, efficiently and within game engine specifications.
• Ensure that the high-quality bar established by the Art Director is achieved.
• Research, develop, and present new methods, techniques, and tools that push our art quality to the next level.

Qualifications & Experience...
• Must have shipped a game as a senior or lead artist.
• Excellent understanding of human anatomy.
• Expert knowledge of high-resolution modeling.
• Expert knowledge of texturing, baking, lighting, and color theory.
• Strong understanding of PBR materials and shaders.
• Expert knowledge of Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Marvelous Designer.
• Demonstrate the ability to translated 2D concept to 3D.
• Experience creating hair with real time spline-based system. (Preferred)
• Experience with cloth simulation. (Preferred)
• Experience with hard surface modeling. (Preferred)
• Experience with creature modeling. (Preferred)
• Experience with feedback and review with outsourcing vendors. (Preferred)

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $58,730.00 - $109,070.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
