Coordinator, D&I Strategies (People, Culture & Content)

Reporting to the Director, Diversity & Inclusion Strategies, the Coordinator, D&I Strategies will support various people, culture and content initiatives at Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS). This role will work on key strategic D&I priorities in collaboration with Senior Leadership, Creative Directors, Human Resources, Recruitment & Talent Development, Training & Development, Marketing, Employee Relations, Enterprise D&I, R.I.S.E., and Communications/PR teams to foster an open, collaborative and inclusive environment at WDAS.

The Coordinator, D&I Strategies will also provide support to the Manager, D&I People & Culture Strategies and Sr. Manager, D&I Content & Culture Strategies, on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and organize scheduling and logistics for meetings, events, speakers and brave conversations meant to help WDAS employees deepen cultural and representation awareness
• Create Google Forms/SurveyMonkey surveys and track data on inclusion goals, as well as, assist with quarterly D&I reports
• Attend meetings, take notes, contribute to creative ideation processes and ensure appropriate follow through of relevant action items discussed
• Develop presentations and spreadsheets, and categorize files in an organized and efficient manner
• Coordinate content advisement screenings with various internal and external groups including WDAS affinity groups & Think Tanks, R.I.S.E., inclusion and creative councils, consultants, community orgs and enterprise-wide BERGs for films and alternative content in production
• Co-manage multiple cross-ERG efforts, D&I activations and the programming and event planning requests from affinity groups for heritage months and cultural awareness days (Black History Month, Women's History Month, PRIDE Month etc.)
• Contribute to cultural review and feedback processes for consumer products, publishing materials, content screenings and more, relative to WDAS intellectual property
• Assist with logistics and planning of leadership development programs and DEI training series
• Provide support to the four WDAS Employee Resource/Affinity Groups, track project plans, and assist D&I Manager, People & Culture in the development of all new WDAS affinity groups
• Partner with studio Communications/PR to communicate D&I initiatives and employee engagement opportunities to the studio via e-blasts, internal intranet posts, social media and SLACK
• Monitor employee engagement on internal SLACK channels and provide supportive information and responses to employees as-needed
• Draft internal D&I communications, one sheets and regularly update internal D&I DAweb site
• Manage the D&I department e-mail alias and inbox (on a daily basis)
• Serve as a key strategic partner, cultural resource and thought leader to all studio employees and contribute to various people, culture and content projects

Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of diversity, equity and inclusion and/or multicultural marketing/communications experience, ideally with a global company or production studio
• Ability to work with many cross-functional internal and external partners and teams
• Program/project management skills
• Strong Google Suite, Microsoft Office, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp and/or WordPress skills
• Excellent written communications skills
• Excellent teamwork and client service skills and an ability to interact effectively with all levels
• Focuses on continuous improvement and demonstrates an innovative approach

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience coordinating campaigns or business development strategies for key consumer and employee groups including women, Latinx, Black/African Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, Native/Indigenous community, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+, veterans and others
• Global work experience, especially as it pertains to diversity and inclusion
• Demonstrated track record managing expectations and schedules of one or more senior executives
• Field experience working within underrepresented communities, preferably with indigenous groups
• Adobe Photoshop and/or graphic design experience

Required Education
• BA/BS in Sociology, Psychology, Communications, Business, Marketing or related field
