We service more than 40 counties across South Georgia, including two news bureaus in the cities of Tifton and Valdosta.
Job Summary/Description:
WALB is looking for a MMJ who has an interest in and knowledge of weather reporting. This is a hybrid position, perfect for a beginner looking for on-air experience in weathercasting and weather anchoring. The perfect candidate is an MMJ who can report news but would like to gain experience as a weather anchor/reporter.
As a MMJ / Weather Anchor you will be the 4th member of our dominant First Alert Weather team. We currently have full-time meteorologists covering our main newscasts and weekends. This position will be to fill-in when they are out and to help with severe weather coverage, so your primary role will be as news MMJ. But you will most definitely get reps with this experienced weather team. The First Alert Weather brand is a trusted source for weather accuracy. You will be working in a culture that fosters growth and provides feedback. Perfect to launch your career into weathercasting!

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Education background of either journalism or communications.
Basic understanding of windows based electronics and the ability to learn ENPS as well as new systems as they are implemented. Must be willing to work in Albany, GA.
