Job Summary/Description:

The Sales Manager leads a sales team of account executives in developing and selling multi-media advertising solutions to Mobile-Pensacola area businesses. The Sales Manager must have a significant knowledge of television advertising and digital products. Teaching, coaching, and growing the sales team is a vital role of the Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be a sales leader who creates a positive culture for success through leadership, clear direction, teaching, motivating and evaluating sales efforts of our local team.

Individual should be highly organized and must be able to develop and maximize revenue opportunities within the local advertising community. This is an opportunity for a strong leader to strengthen our multi-platform sales team. A passion for teaching and coaching account executives is a must.

Areas of focus include -
- Build a steady stream of new business
- Constantly recruit to grow the sales team
- Developing client solutions with account executives using digital and television products
- Generating a weekly forecast of revenue
- Regularly attend sales calls with account executives
- Gain a clear understanding of the Gray Television sales training program
- Understands how to communicate effectively and build strong internal and external relationships
- Is a skilled negotiator and problem solver
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, competitive, fast-paced environment and handle multiple challenges simultaneously
- Must have excellent organizational, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills with high sense of urgency and ability to deliver results

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Proven history of developing new business
- Thorough knowledge of how television and digital products work together to create success for clients
- Specific knowledge of digital products and the ability to explain each to customers
- Successful experience leading a sales team
- Well versed in Microsoft Office products
- Experience with television station traffic software
- College degree
