WAFB Channel 9 is the CBS network affiliate located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the 94th market in the country. The tradition of television in Baton Rouge began on April 19, 1953, when WAFB signed on the air as the second television station in Louisiana.
Over the following decades, Channel 9 created the number-one news organization in South Louisiana, covering local, state, and regional news.
Our anchors, reporters, producers, photographers, and marketing team have won numerous awards from the Associated Press, Emmy Suncoast Chapter, Regional and National Edward R. Murrow, and Louisiana's News Channel.
Job Summary/Description:
WAFB-TV is looking for an associate producer who is ready to deliver urgent, important, and unique content for our morning newscasts. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines in a high-energy environment.
In this position, you will be an associate producer for WAFB-TV's morning newscasts. You will assist with writing stories and editing content for these newscasts.
Please note - the primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed above
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Good writing skills
* Ability to work well under pressure
