Job Description
We currently have a position open for a Vault Clerk, located at our Burbank Office and Chatsworth Warehouse in California.
Candidates must be self-motivated, with superior work ethic and ability to work with delivery deadlines, with minimal direct supervision.
$18.00 per hour
This is a temporary position that will last between 11-12 months.
Position Overview
The Vault Clerk processes incoming and outgoing assets, including staging assets, entering assets into a computer database, basic Vault functions as outlined below. This position requires driving a Company vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Work with digital assets and digital asset archiving
- Pick up physical media, documents, and supplies as requested
- Advise account representatives promptly and dispense elements to appropriate department of the receipt of incoming media
- Perform data entry and manage paperwork (archive incoming and outgoing logs) of all vault related activities
- Perform media manifests of incoming hard drives
- Distribute incoming mail/packages to staff
- Correctly log data of incoming physical media into the inventory system and barcode elements
- Accountable for locating elements in company’s vault system upon request
- Shelve and re-shelve physical media such as film, video tape, and hard drives
- Securely pull physical media in a timely manner for production use and return elements to vault storage once complete
- Keep onsite vault organized and retain space for incoming elements
- Conduct periodic audits of all vaulted elements to maintain accuracy of database
- Pull elements for delivery and arrange for dispatch of couriers or overnight shipments with preferred vendors
- Assist account representatives with asset returns to clients
- Answer phones and contact staff and clients concerning receipt, vaulting, and shipment of physical media
- Interact with clients
- Driving elements between VDMS facilities, clients and vendors
- Perform other related duties as assigned or related to position
Education and Required Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Valid Driver’s License, with a clean driving record
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Understanding of technical workflows is required
- Positive, collaborative and unselfish interpersonal skills with strong verbal, written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey requests and ideas to editors, graphic and audio designers, talent, etc., are required
- Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
