MUNCHIES dives deep into food and culture, working with chefs, restaurants, cookbook authors, and restaurateurs to tell their story in an engaging and unique way. The MUNCHIES Test Kitchen is a content studio/experiential facility/client entertainment space overseen by VICE Food, LLC, a division of VICE Media, operating within VICE's Williamsburg, Brooklyn, offices. You'll work closely with the culinary director in creating and testing recipes and working with chefs and the production team, as well as executives at VICE, to educate our audience on the world of food. This is a fast-paced, fun environment in which the ideal candidate will thrive and flourish as they go about their daily routine in the test kitchen.

Role x You

This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the world's best chefs and cook some interesting food using the finest ingredients. You'll be shopping all around the city, testing and developing recipes for our website and videos, as well as our social media channels, as well as helping to maintain our rooftop garden. The ideal candidate will be able to pitch recipes, ideas, and chefs for videos and social content as they get to know the brand more and more, eventually being able to work independently in keeping on schedule for recipe tests.

Qualifications

You have these:
• 1-3 years of restaurant experience
• Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills
• Deep familiarity and comfort with social media platforms and related technology
• Fantastic organizational skills and are extremely detailed
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

We'd love if you also had these:
• Photoshop
• Experience in magazine publishing or media
• A culinary education
