Job Description
VICE x Team

The Insights team at VICE is responsible for creating thought leadership and strategic thinking that fuels the growth of VICE Media Group and its partners. We are experts in primary research methodologies – both qualitative and quantitative - but also surface insights from across VICE's ecosystem such as content analytics, cultural inputs, campaign performance, our DMP and some third party data sources. The team is as much analytical as it is creative. We thrive on curiosity, ambition and collaboration – within the team and across departments.

Role x You

You are a passionate, detail-oriented researcher who has been exposed to, or is curious about, a variety of research methodologies but also wants to break with convention and create new ways to gather and analyze information.

In the short term you will manage research initiatives for both VICE and partner brands. This includes supporting bespoke research projects for internal departments and clients and thought leadership for the company as a whole. You are the backbone of the team, working to ensure adherence to schedule and data quality standards.

After 6 months in this role you will become more comfortable with our research methodologies and data sources as well as have a solid understanding of our audience and brands, enabling you to not only manage projects but add critical thinking to the research instruments and final reports. You will also play an active role in engaging our research communities, VICE Voices and Mad Chatter.

And after a year you'll start taking the lead on smaller projects by drafting research instruments and presentations. You will also participate in sharing learnings and best practices with internal stakeholders.

You have these:
• 2-3 years experience in consumer research. College degree.
• Solid project management and organizational skills with strong detail orientation and ability to multitask
• Ability to analyze and summarize data and information across sources and methodologies
• Proficiency with data analysis tools
• Proactive, creative, and curious about the world around you

We'd love if you also had these:
• A passion for media and culture
• Experience with social or online community engagement

Working at VICE:

We want to find people who believe in our mission and goals and feel inspired to grow while they're here, rather than someone who checks the boxes but isn't invested. We encourage you to apply and show us what you've got. VICE Media Group prioritizes the voices, ideas and people that other media companies miss. We believe that innovation is a direct result of diverse, inclusive cultures so we don't just ''tolerate'' difference s , we celebrate it and see it as essential to our staff, culture, and business.
