VICE Media Group is looking for a (Senior) HR Manager Continental Europe (France, Denmark, Italy, Benelux) with immediate effect or as soon as possible.

VICE & Team

As a Senior HR Manager for our offices in Paris, Milan, Copenhagen, Brussels and Amsterdam, you will work with colleagues from all over Europe and worldwide on the implementation, design and further development of the global HR strategy. You report directly to the Vice President, HR EMEA and thus sit at the decision-making table for HR-related issues in Europe. As the HRBP team, we support our Vice Media Group Business in all personnel-related issues

In close cooperation with the global HR team, you will drive the further development of our culture in harmony with the changing framework conditions in all business areas.

In this role, you will work with employees and managers on a daily basis to answer specific topics and questions and to act in an advisory capacity. You are solution-oriented, recognize potential, drive efficiency and create an inclusive environment in which everyone respects, recognizes and includes each other.

In the first few months you will learn how HR works at VICE, what the various departments and managers do and will create the basis for successful cooperation with your various stakeholders.

After 6 months in this role, you will have built trusting relationships and be able to provide operational and strategic support and advicee to managers and employees in your region. You will continue to learn and grow while applying your HR skills to our daily challenges.

Your tasks:
• Working in a matrix organization consisting of line of business HR business partners and regional HR managers as well as Centres of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, L&D, Compensation & Benefits, Legal)
• Day-to-day operational and holistic personnel support for approx. 180 employees in your assigned countries in close cooperation with the LOB HR business partners
• Supporting recruiting activities for your territories
• Assisting in payroll preparation and reconciliation, diligently handling daily HR administration (contracts, employee changes, etc) and tactical HR tasks on a need-be basis
• Supportive planning and design of strategic HR projects in coordination with the global Centers of Excellence as well as independent implementation at the assigned locations
• Main contact person for the Dutch and French workers council

Your profile:
• At least 6 years of HR practical experience, of which 2 years in a comparable, independent position
• Very independent working style, high social skills and quick and flexible comprehension
• Assertiveness paired with diplomatic finesse and resilience
• Empathic personality, fair advisory skills and solution-oriented way of working
• Very good knowledge of French labor and works constitution law, including experience in working with works councils; Knowledge of Dutch, Danish or Italian labor law is an advantage but not mandatory
• Very good communication skills in English and French
