Role x You:

The Manager, HR Business Partner is a well-versed and knowledgeable partner to their assigned line of business.

Reporting into the Senior Director, HRBP, this position will help manage the talent strategy related agenda with Virtue for North America. The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing workflows independently and influencing various managers and leaders within the business. An advocate for developing best-in-class strategies and work, this position will partner with the centers of excellence within the People, Culture & Impact team including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, and HR Information Systems.

In the short term you'll get an understanding of how the People and Culture (known as HR) works at Vice Media Group and for Virtue specifically. You'll form good relationships with managers, leaders and employees alike to understand the business needs and build upon those relationships to drive the HR agenda for Virtue North America.

After 6 months in this role you will be able to apply your profound subject matter knowledge and effective communication and interpersonal skills and work on a broad spectrum of projects and initiatives within your line of business and across the People, Culture & Impact team globally.

Responsibilities:
• Acts as a main point of contact for the employees and managers within the client group, providing HR guidance as appropriate
• Proactively supports the delivery of HR processes
• Builds strong business relationships within the line of business
• Actively identifies gaps, proposes and implements changes necessary to cover risks
• Provides guidance and input on line of business restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
• Partners with management team to bring about best solutions for employees
• Conducts exit interviews and analyzes the data and feedback trends to develop solutions, programs, and policies

You have these:
• Minimum of 5 years of professional HR experience for globally-respected, brand-name companies or professional associations.
• Knowledge of employment law as it relates to FMLA, ADA, COBRA.
• Attention to detail and effective time management
• Should display good problem solving and decision-making skills with understanding of employee relationships
• Ability to multi task and adapt to fast paced environment

• Excellent consultative, coaching, counseling and conflict resolution skills; ability to influence and articulate a variety of issues to different audiences, tailoring messages accordingly.
• Analytical and creative; capable of flexing solutions to changing demands.
• Able to independently juggle multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
