Overview and Responsibilities

ViacomCBS is looking for an incredible Senior Coordinator, Contracts Management to provide contract management and administrative support to the Nashville Business & Legal affairs department for the MTV Entertainment Group. You'll draft and handle the finalizing of a variety of basic entertainment contracts as well as various types of correspondence with outside parties and internal clients. You'll report directly into the SVP while supporting the VP and will serve in a back-up capacity to the Legal Coordinator.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Review and summarize contracts and correspond with internal clients regarding deal terms
• Review, draft and negotiate basic contracts and deal memos with minimal supervision
• Regularly advise senior management of option exercise dates on contracts, regularlyupdating the option calendar
• Analyze and track rights for certain programming projects
• Research and analyze data relating to trademarks, contracts, agreements and/or otherrelated items; presenting research and analysis to the department and/or clients
• Provide support to clients, both external and internal, in a professional and courteousmanner with emphasis on maintaining excellent relationships
• Actively participate in team meetings
• Stay up-to-date on all systems and programs that are used to perform all functions ofthis job
• Maintain, follow-up, and distribute bi-weekly contract status report on an as-neededbasis
• Step in for the Coordinator as needed

Basic Qualifications
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience
• 2+ years' experience as paralegal and/or contracts manager
• Demonstrated ability for drafting, using standard short-form contract templates
• Understanding of and ability to interpret contract terms and conditions and transfer theinformation into standard legal documents
• Proficient in commonly used office software including: MS Word, Excel, Access, andOutlook, with the capability of learning software and systems with proper instruction
• Knowledge of and experience with wide range of entertainment contracts, licensing,intellectual property and general corporate law. Ability to identify and define potentialproblems and risks and notify supervisor of such.
• Must be comfortable working independently with little supervision
• Ability to exercise solid business judgment and maintain confidentiality

Additional Qualifications
• Music/entertainment industry and law firm/legal department experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail, stellar organizational skills, and excellent written and verbalcommunication
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency regarding understanding and meeting client needs
• Able to build and cultivate positive relationships within the department and with thedepartment's client groups
• Must be flexible, work well under pressure and able to multi-task with a heavy workloadand numerous competing priorities
