Paramount + daily animated variety series TOONING OUT THE NEWS is looking for a MANAGER, DIGITAL CONTENT STRATEGY.

TOONING OUT THE NEWS features a cast of animated characters parodying top news stories and interviewing real-world guests, newsmakers, and analysts. The series is executive produced by Stephen Colbert and Chris Licht of CBS' The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and RJ Fried and Tim Luecke from Showtime's Our Cartoon President.

The MANAGER, DIGITAL CONTENT STRATEGY will develop and oversee social media strategy, analyze engagement and trends, and lead a small but mighty team of content creators to increase overall viewership and engagement in the second season of this critically praised streaming program.

• Develop strategy to grow viewership and engagement across various social platforms and oversee implementation
• Monitor breaking news and pitch relevant social media response in the voice of the program
• Align with network interactive, marketing, and PR teams to amplify show content
• Analyze data and prepare weekly reports on engagement and trends and provide insights
• Manage team of digital content creators
• Please note: Position is currently remote but candidates in New York area or those willing to later relocate if necessary are preferred
• Willing to work evenings (with later start)


Skills/Experience Required:
• Expert in usage and best strategies for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok and other digital outlets
• Knowledge of analytic tools for social engagement
• Strong editorial judgement, intellectually curious, well-read, and abreast of current events, politics, and popular culture
• Dialed-in to trending social media topics
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and accustomed to responding to a rapidly changing news cycle
• Late night comedy and / or news experience favored
• At least two years of television production, or digital media experience
• At least two years of television production, or digital media experience

Educational Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

FUNCTION: Production
