Overview and Responsibilities

The Brand Social team is responsible for determining and helping to execute brand priorities for Comedy Central, Paramount Network, TV Land, and Pop TV social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok)! We are made up of social strategists and creatives (including writers, video producers/editors, etc.), and work closely with other teams including Franchise Social, Audience Development, Brand Creative, Marketing, Research, and more. We develop the social strategy and create social-first content around new and returning franchises, stunts, events, social impact initiatives, and other priorities, with an emphasis on engaging audiences via compelling video content. On a day-to-day basis, we also oversee the social content calendar for the above brands, write and produce reactive and evergreen content, maintain relationships with platform partners, and communicate social standard methodologies and platform updates to the wider organization!

Responsibilities:

Support publishing, social roll out, and community management for:
• Comedy Central brand social channels (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter)
• The Gag (Instagram)
• Paramount Network brand social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
• TV Land brand social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
• Pop TV brand social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
• Maintain legacy content scheduling document to plan ahead for upcoming events and holidays
• Collaborate with design, editorial, and video teams to create content for our social platforms. Includes clipping assets in VMS (internal content database) and creating JIRA tickets
• Utilize platforms and tools including Sprinklr, Facebook Creator Studio, and Twitter Media Studio
• Maintain social standard methodologies and social specs sheet for every platform
• Stays up-to-date on emerging platforms and potential partnership opportunities, especially as it pertains to diverse comedic voices
• Reports into Manager, Brand Social and supports full Social team

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2 years of experience in social/digital media (strong internship experience considered), preferably in the entertainment/media industry

Additional Qualifications
• Familiarity with Facebook/Instagram Creator Studio, Twitter Media Studio, and/or Sprinklr or another CMS
• Sharp, concise writing skills and strong attention to detail
• Rabid interest in comedy and pop culture, and familiarity with Comedy Central, Paramount Network, TV Land, and Pop TV properties
