Assistant Accountant

Job Description

Network 10 currently has an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join their Sydney Finance team for a fixed term maternity cover. Located within close proximity to the CBD, this role will suit a self-motivated candidate who is available immediately to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. The position has a strong focused on month end journals and reporting, fixed assets register maintenance, as well as assisting with year-end statutory requirements.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Fixed Asset register maintenance
• Preparation and posting of month end Journals
• Weekly payroll journals
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• FBT and Tax analysis
• Assisting with Financial and Statutory reporting
• Liaising with internal clients across the business

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will be degree qualified and have at least 2 years relevant experience. Your attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to prioritise a high workload will allow you to succeed in this fast paced and challenging work environment. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

With intermediate to advanced excel skills, you will ideally have experience with Oracle/SAP or a similar financial system.
