Responsibilities
Role Purpose
The Promo Strategy Coordinator for USA Network will be scheduling and coordinating promotional assets to support linear and non-linear programming on all networks. S/he will support the overall media planning strategies and help generate brand awareness by ensuring that all priorities for marketing and programming are being efficiently promoted on-air. S/he must be skilled in organizing and planning with the ability to hit hard deadlines, troubleshoot and pivot at a moment's notice.
Responsibilities
• Help maximize USA viewership by strategically planning and scheduling promos in the scheduling system to maximize reach and frequency
• Operate promo optimizer system and analyze data to ensure all campaign goals are met
• Create weekly promo & snipe calendar with network priorities and stunts, staying up to date with everchanging priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Communicate closely with Commercial Operations, Program Operations to ensure log formats and schedule changes are applied to finalize logs
• Plan according to Programming priorities, understand premiere plans, rollout and stunt strategies; track schedule changes and updating all respective documents and teams
• Create scheduling elements and screening promos & snipes to ensure the correct elements are delivered for air.
• Maintain and update accurate data in on-air scheduling system
• Track sponsorship obligations, order elements for air from production and ensure execution of campaign
• Lead campaigns for USA originals and acquireds by creating production deliverables, relaying on air strategy to other teams and communicating closely with Production and Network Operations to ensure timely delivery of assets.
• Plan and schedule cross channel/symphony priorities, including regular Peacock, Entertainment, and Sports campaigns
• Communicate closely with sister networks for promo priorities and scheduling nuances
• Plan and maintain list of active promos for use on VOD platforms
• Compile & Reconcile on-air schedules for post campaign analysis; pull post-log reports for sponsorships
• Troubleshooting and problem solving, working with all teams to investigate and resolve format discrepancies, missing promos/tags for scheduling needs
• Working with the Media Operations Center and Network Operations Center to resolve last minute promo changes on the log
• Train interns and pages on promo logs, alt logs, house numbers
• Backup scheduling coordinator to Team's additional networks: Sports, NBC and Universal Kids
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in communications, science, research, film, television or related field
• 1+ years experience working in Programming or Marketing
• Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint
• Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills & communication skills
• Excellent quality control abilities
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changes
• Ability to work in multiple timelines concurrently
• Ability to problem solve and find solutions to timely issues
• Self-starter, proactive, resourceful
Eligibility Requirements
• Willingness to work overtime, and on off-hours/weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in New York
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Desired Characteristics
• Promo Scheduling experience a strong plus
