Job Description

This role will provide content services and support for UMG’s Video Services team. Primary workflows include supporting video content QC and remediation prior to distribution to partners (e.g. iTunes QC) and on receipt from video production to backfill for other QC operators in this role. In addition, this role will provide support for operational activities around video product setup e.g. supporting screengrab workflows, and any administrative tasks related to the functions.

Maintaining a professional, personable attitude in a deadline-driven environment is essential. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and comfortable communicating with a wide range of personality types.

How you’ll CREATE:
• Quality check audio, video, and captions program material to ensure compliance with UMG requirements using audio/video QC tools (such as media players and Adobe Premiere)
• Review (and create) manual Master QC reports with an attention to detail to systematically flag potential issues or concerns with the content of those reports in accordance with UMG standards
• Act as a technical point of contact and operator related to quality checks and work within a team to resolve issues and questions that arise
• Update and maintain content metadata for incoming assets, utilizing 3rd party and proprietary tracking and asset management systems
• Work with label groups to ensure proper submission and compliance for video stills and chapter images
• New user account setup and permissions management
• Make sound, independent decisions, and know when to escalate issues
• Handle rush/after-hours requests as needed

Bring your VIBE:
• 3+ years of quality control experience in the digital video and audio post-production sectors
• Thorough working knowledge of video encoding, audio and video mastering and their common failures or technical challenges
• Strong expertise and experience in audio, video, and caption-based workflows utilizing tools such as Adobe Premiere
• The aptitude to normalize, modify and prepare file-based content to defined specifications and workflows
• In-depth knowledge of and the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting in a Mac-based work environment with a variety of 3rd party applications
• Keen knowledge of production/postproduction infrastructure requirements as it relates to enabling overall supply chain workflows
• Ability to provide constructive feedback around practices, tools, and methods related to video production and post-production. Focused on continual process improvement
