As the Royalty Coordinator at Virgin Music Group, you will be responsible for overseeing various monthly distribution/royalty accounting processes, including identifying and calculating royalty statement adjustments. This position will be reporting to the Manager Royalty Accounting and work with the rest of the Finance department to ensure the execution and continued alignment of the team's overall responsibilities, requirements, and goals. This role can work remotely within the United States. #Remote US Home office is based Encino CA.

How you'll CREATE:
• Prepare and process third-party deal advance payments.
• Generate summaries and payment files for monthly royalty cycles.
• Calculate and prepare distribution fee invoices for third parties.
• Collaborate with the central Accounts Receivable team to monitor and investigate cash balances.
• Maintain a comprehensive checklist of adjustments for various monthly royalty cycles.
• Track, prepare, and manage diverse spreadsheets and data schedules to guarantee accurate accounting.
• Interface directly with clients to address reporting or payment inquiries.
• Contribute to month-end close activities and produce recurring and ad-hoc analyses for internal and external reporting requirements.
• Identify and propose process improvements, actively participating in their implementation.
• Cross-train with team members to ensure a versatile and efficient workflow.
• Perform additional administrative duties as required.

Bring your VIBE:
• 1-3 years of experience in a distribution, participations, or royalty accounting is preferred.
• Background in accounting and/or finance is advantageous.
• Proficient in MS-Office Suite, with exceptional Excel skills (e.g., Nested Functions, V-Lookups, Pivot tables, etc.).
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong planning and execution skills, and a proven ability to establish and achieve impactful goals and objectives.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, navigate tight deadlines, and work independently.
• Customer-service oriented mindset.
• Willingness to go beyond standard responsibilities to achieve desired results.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Accounts Receivable experience is a plus.
