Job Description

As a member of the Business and Affairs team, this role will play an integral part in the day to day timely execution of work performed by the team. The ideal candidate must be detailed oriented, organized, and process-oriented to be able to manage a high workload with competing priorities.

You are a fearless, articulate communicator who is comfortable interacting with employees at all levels up to Senior Leaders of the labels. You are a people person, who has the ability to build and maintain credible relationships with all of our artists, managers and third-party vendors.

How you’ll CREATE:
• Track and document all music to be released by the East Coast Label group in order to determine clearance issues and facilitate the clearance process.
• Escalate concerns to the A&R and Business Affairs department.
• Review video treatments and videos for the label group and advise the Legal Executives of any potential copyright, trademark or public relations risks.
• Monitor and track the clearance process including working with artist managers and label executives regarding deal terms and drafting paperwork to record and grant rights.

Bring your VIBE:
• BA/BS in Music Business, Legal Affairs, Communications or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in Administrative/Coordinator capacity at a record label, talent agency, legal entertainment preferred
• Proficient in MS Office suite, databases a plus
• Proven experience on a busy desk or department, having to multitask, troubleshoot and manage conflicting priorities
• Excellent communication skills, people skills, time management skills
• Meticulous detail oriented, ability to maintain confidentiality is a must
