Job Description
How you'll LEAD:

UMG is currently seeking to fill the role of an Associate Director in our Royalty Audit group. In this role, you will be working with our royalty audit team researching, responding, and settling audit claims.

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a dedicated work ethic and a sharp mind, interested in learning in a role that requires problem-solving skills and outside-the-box thinking on occasion. This position affords the right candidate exposure to all aspects of music audits and many key players in the business space.

How you'll CREATE:
• Responsible for audit fieldwork requests from outside auditors
• Analyze audit reports and confirm auditor's calculations
• Review artist contracts, copyright licenses, correspondence, statements, reports, and other pertinent documents to determine validity of claims
• Draft written responses to audit claims
• Participate in audit settlement negotiations
• Liaison with Business Affairs, Litigation and Finance departments

Bring your VIBE:
• Bachelor's Degree in business administration, Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 4-5 years of music royalty experience
• Exposure to recording contracts and ability to digest long documents into key-terms summaries.
• Strong Excel & Word skills; Business Objects/data warehouse experience a plus
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills
• Able to handle multiple assignments, meet deadlines and think analytically and in terms of 'big picture' and 'outside the box' concepts.
• Authorized to work in the US
