Job Description
This position will be responsible for managing the budget, schedule and quality of the project. The role will also involve management of communication between various stakeholders, ensuring that resources are focused on the right areas to achieve the best possible product on time, within budget and to a high standard.
What you will do:
• Management of the full game product development cycle including concept, pre-production, production, approval, quality assurance, code release and localization by analyzing all project requirements
• Define the milestones schedule and content and validate delivered key milestones in relation to the objectives as well as maintaining a proper budget and resource allocation table
• Manage time efficiently by planning, task prioritization, resource coordination, risk assessment, and proactive problem solving
• Work closely with the brand's franchise team and align on project strategy
• Identify all relevant project stakeholders by developing a communication plan
• Identify all relevant project risks developing plans for their mitigation and contingency
• Manage the production department, mentoring more junior team members
• Establish a vision and strategy for the development of better-quality games, and ensure that quality objectives are met
• Define quality criteria for the production process like documentation and communication guidelines as well as for the product itself in close collaboration with the franchise team
• Identify, assess and, negotiate with external suppliers like 3D art or music suppliers in close collaboration with the franchise team
• Participate in studio initiatives beyond the project
Qualifications
What you bring:
• 7+ years' experience in Production Management in the AAA space
• College or university degree
• Expert knowledge of project management methods in game development
• The ability to work with and as part of multiple teams, both internal and external
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as good instructional skills
• Excellent self-organization and self-motivation abilities
• Passion for the games industry
