Job Description
As a Senior Concept Weapon Artist at Ubisoft Ukraine, you will be responsible for crafting visually stunning and functional weapon, prop (and occasionally character) designs that will define the heart of Rainbow Six Siege's tactical world. Your artwork will play a pivotal role in ensuring the weapons and props not only enhance gameplay but also resonate with the game's immersive, realistic, and strategic atmosphere. Your designs will inspire the team, guiding the artistic direction throughout the production process.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Art Director to develop high quality weapon designs from scratch or based on existing weapon models;
• Present your concepts to the art team regularly, accept feedback, and adjust your work accordingly.
• Collaborate closely with adjacent disciplines, including 3D modeling, animation & VFX for optimal final results;
• Adapt your artwork based on feedback, help problem solve before- and throughout production;
• Find balance between artistic aspects, creative ambition and technical constraints;
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in concept art in the video game industry or other relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of digital painting
• Working knowledge of 3D software (e.g. Blender), ability to make rough 3D block out models;
• Understanding of art fundamentals: lighting, composition, architecture, anatomy, etc.;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (you can share your ideas and explain your creative process);
• A collaborative spirit;
• A clear specialization or interest in weapon & hard-surface design.
• Bachelor's degree in Art, Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Functional English proficiency (both spoken and written), with the ability to present and explain your work
