Job Description
You see the vision, transform it into a roadmap of milestones, and inspire and guide your team to reach them. You are the production manager.
You know that video game production is hard, but your goal is to make it easier. You can build a team to share the load, collaborating with and supervising smaller multidisciplinary teams to get your deliverables across the finish line. You will be the driving force behind them all, the guarantor of smooth sailing. You anticipate the things that could go wrong, then get to work and proactively prevent them from happening.
What you'll do:
• Be the point person for co-dev relationships with partner studios around the world, partnering with the core team to understand the overall technology or game vision and requirements
• Define and plan the project scope of your specific deliverables, creating the production schedule and developing strategies
• Regularly meet with your team to allocate tasks, discuss progress and setbacks, communicate milestones, prioritize deliverables, present updates, address concerns, give direction, gather feedback, etc.
• Track, monitor, and analyze the production schedule; rescoping & adjusting your strategies when need be
• Provide your team with all they need to work efficiently and achieve quality (documentation, tools, pipelines, reviews, communication channels, etc.)
• Organize the approvals and debugging of deliverables + keep team leads up to date on progress and issues
• Sync up with other teams to ensure consistency, remove blockers, and mitigate risks
• Prepare and evaluate post-mortems to continuously improve our production processes.
• Participate in recruitment to build your team, and foster their professional growth and career progression
• Participate in projects of your own initiative through our Innovation Jams
Qualifications
What you bring
• 3-5+ years' experience in project management
• Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver major projects in terms of quality standards, budget, time & resources
• Ability to balance short-term priorities and long-term goals
• A highly collaborative, empathetic, and solution-oriented spirit
• Excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Knowledge of agile principles a plus
