Job Description
Reporting to the Studio Manager, the Production Director will provide vision and direction for the studio and establish roadmap to meet the ever-changing needs of the industry.
As a member of the Studio's leadership team, a key emphasis will be to directly contribute to shaping our studio culture, communication, accountability & change management.
Responsibilities
Champion leadership in production. Lead the culture and create a sense of community within the team and evangelize this culture across the studio. Demonstrate team play, charisma, enthusiasm & a strong sense of commitment even during critical situations while anticipating problematic situations and addressing them immediately.
Own the production team. Build and maintain the 3-year roadmap of production, provide clear vision, strategy, and direction for the team. Define service strategy that provides high quality and cost-effective systems, collaborate with management teams for long-term planning, organizational objectives, services strategies, key priorities, change management & risk mitigations. Propose, manage & measure against yearly budget on a regular basis to ensure that production and its services are being delivered at the best value proposition while continuously identifying opportunities for scaling-out successful practices into new global services.
Drive improvements and processes. Implement a clear decision-making framework in the production process and ensure that the team follows the structure. Oversee and manage the development and deployment of software that can be integrated with Production's needs and systems to facilitate their production pipelines. Set service level objectives, measure team performance & drive improvements across all disciplines
Grow the studio. Improve the capabilities and skillset of the studio, ensure succession planning within the team. Mentor and provide opportunities for growth and training, clear job expectations, and challenging objectives to ensure coherence and equity in their performance assessments. Take part in identifying new talent and oversee their onboarding.
Qualifications
• Degree in business administration, project management or equivalent
• Has shipped at least 1 AAA console game as a Producer or Associate Producer
• Solid experience in team and project management
• Excellent knowledge of project management methods and tools
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledgeable on the trades and process of video game development
• Solution-oriented and ability to work effectively under pressure;
• Passionate about playing and creating games
