Job Description

We're collaborating with Disney and Lucasfilm Games on a new story-driven open-world video game set in the beloved Star Wars galaxy. This is a lore we love and want to do justice with a game and story that bring both new and lifelong fans on an immersive and outstanding journey that will stay with them for years.

As a Lead Development Tester at Massive, you will work closely together with the Dev Test team to help draft and setup test plans for the different features and content in the game. You will aim to improve the overall development and ensure the quality of specific features. You will be the main point of contact to ensure all aspects the game and supporting tools are tested and available for the team.

This is a permanent position based in Malmö Sweden, with the opportunity to work partially from home according to our Flexible Workplace Policy. Please apply in English (our company language), and we'll check your application asap!

What you'll do
• Providing constructive feedback, mentoring, and coaching the Dev Test team
• Track and follow-up on Greenlights
• Track and follow-up on all bugs and crashes that are reported and maintain the Jira database
• Manage and organize the delivery of builds for playtests and review sessions
• Examining testing results and submitting reports to the development team
• Collaborating with external testers
• Maintaining and improving test automation practices
• Ensuring testing documentation is up-to-date

You as a person

You are a motivated and team-oriented Lead. You find the team's achievements to be motivating and can supervise a team by providing constructive feedback and support whenever needed. You share our enthusiasm for film and the games industry and are motivated by the chance to bring things to a higher level. Your experience within large productions and from leading a team allows you to solve problems on the job and organize an effective workflow. You have excellent communication skills in English (our company language) which with your proactive approach enables you to build trust with your team and the various stakeholders you'll collaborate with along the way.

Besides the above we're looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
• Professional experience of supervising a team, for example in an agile project management environment
• Production tool-set experience (e.g. Perforce &/or Jira)
• Previous work experience with game development or QC
• Experience playing/testing games on major platforms.
• Good understanding of software quality assurance concepts, debugging processes, and procedures.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software/Game Development, or equivalent practical experience.
