Job Description

Job Summary: -

Score Level Designer should have high judgmental skills and good dancing skills. Should be able to tweak and test the game with different energy levels and type of dancing to make sure the scoring feedback is fair. Excellent communication skills will be important.

Game to be worked on: Just Dance

Game description: Just Dance is a motion-based dancing game for multiple players, with each game including a collection of songs each with their own dance choreographies. During each song, players mirror a dance performed by actors on the screen, following commands that appear on the screen, and are awarded for their accuracy.

Ubisoft Pune is working in collaboration with Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Shanghai studios to create the level design for Just Dance games.

Job Responsibilities: -
• Learning the choreography of the received songs perfectly
• Judging Good vs Bad recorded data
• Testing the song with different test cases and taking a call on the accuracy of scoring
• Be able to Capture their own takes when required to add in the game while tweaking scoring
• Creatively breaking down the song into separate camera moves
• Efficiently learning all the different softwares used for the process of score level designing
• Technically strong and spontaneous in handling minor issues
• Communicating efficiently with local and collaborating teams
• Be available to rush if needed
• Ensure that the quality of work is always maintained no matter what the situation

Qualifications

• Should be passionate for dancing
• High level of concentration and judging skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (to motivate and interact with the dancers, play testers and collaborating studio team members)
• Sound knowledge of different dance styles is a plus
• Should be able to perform the dance moves present in-game perfectly
• Motivated to work under pressure
• Should be able to work autonomously once trained
• Should be creative
• Have a positive can-do attitude
• Should be a quick learner and able to do multitasking
