Since opening its doors in 2008, Ubisoft Singapore has become the biggest AAA game development studio in Southeast Asia. Join our vibrant AAA game studio as an experienced IT Manager!
In this pivotal role, you will define and execute the employee-facing IT strategy for Ubisoft Singapore, maintaining highly efficient operations aligned with both the world-wide IT standards and the regional business needs.
You will drive the smooth operation of the studio's IT infrastructure and operations, specifically focusing on addressing the intricate hardware and software needs inherent in AAA game development.
Reporting directly to the IT Regional Director and Studio Operations Director, this role is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
• Provide seamless and impactful support across all levels of the game development process.
• Engage proactively with project production teams to understand their daily hardware and software needs within the dynamic context of AAA game development.
• Foster open communication to swiftly address emerging issues and challenges.
• Provide timely and effective technical support for uninterrupted workflow in game development.
• Ensure the availability, security, and overall health of IT environments, infrastructure, and systems.
• Actively participate in global IT and game operations to align and enhance global IT standards.
• Manage and Optimize IT Asset/Inventory and Budgets.
• Work closely with finance and project teams to allocate resources effectively and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the studio's IT assets (hardware and software) and implement efficient asset management processes across the studio.
• Optimize GNS and IT costs, identifying opportunities to reduce local IT expenses.
• Build, maintain, and track efficient IT budgets for all sites, teams, and initiatives under your scope.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related matters, cultivating strong relationships with production teams, project managers, regional teams, and global IT partners.
• Collaborate with managers and teams across the game studio family to align IT strategies with broader organizational goals.
• Lead the local IT team to meet and exceed service level agreements.
• Assess the efficiency of the IT team and implement improvements in new processes or work methods.
• Provide clear direction and leadership to the local IT team, setting performance expectations and fostering a culture of excellence.
• Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to meet or exceed defined standards.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the IT team, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency gains to enhance overall service delivery.
• Own and implement streamlined IT processes that contribute to the overall efficiency of the IT function within the game development context.
• Drive, maintain, track, and continuously improve day-to-day IT operations in the region, aligned with global KPIs and IT standards.
• Take ownership of defining, refining, and implementing efficient IT processes to enhance workflow and maximize productivity.
• Continuously evaluate existing processes, seeking opportunities for automation and improvement to streamline IT operations.
Qualifications
Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in IT operations or technical operations.
• 5+ years in a lead or management position.
• Technical certifications are an asset (CCNA/MCP/CompTia/etc).
• ITIL certification is an asset.
