Job Description
Ubisoft is seeking an experienced IT Developer to join our IT Games & Studios (ITG&S) team. More specifically the Build & Orchestration team.
This role is critical to evolving and supporting the services and products that power game productions worldwide. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting services and products that are critical to game development pipelines and used by production teams across the globe.
The ideal candidate has a development mindset combined with strong operational skills - someone who is as comfortable coding new features or fixing bugs as they are troubleshooting and diving into existing code. You will need to work on services and product that are built with various languages and be comfortable deploying these services on private and public clouds.
You will join a multidisciplinary team composed of system administrators, developers, and DevOps engineers, all working together to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.
You will also play an active role in project initiatives aimed at improving and scaling our services, ensuring performance, reliability, and future readiness. As part of a worldwide team, strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
This position includes participation in an on-call rotation, including weekends, to ensure 24/7 availability of our critical systems.

Responsibilities:
The main and routine tasks of this position are to:
• Develop and maintain services and products that support global game development pipelines.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot features across multiple programming languages (C#, Go, Python).
• Deep dive into existing codebases to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Ensure reliability and scalability of services deployed on private and public cloud environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (system administrators, developers, DevOps engineers) to deliver high-performance solutions.
• Participate in project initiatives to improve and scale services for performance and future readiness.
• Monitor and maintain critical systems, including participation in an on-call rotation for 24/7 availability.
• Contribute to automation and CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and operations.
• Carry out all other related tasks.
Qualifications
Training:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other related field.

Relevant Experience:
At least 2 year's experience as a Developer within a professional IT environment.
Knowledge:
• Fluent in English (French is an asset).
• Microservices architecture and distributed systems design.
• Cloud-native technologies and deployment strategies.
• Security best practices for services and infrastructure.
• Performance optimization for high-availability systems.
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, firewalls).
• Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OTEL).
• Deep understanding of GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation strategies.

Skills
• Programming expertise in C#, Go, and Python.
• Strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD for building, testing, and deploying services.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex code in large, distributed systems.
• Cloud deployment skills (Azure) and familiarity with private cloud environments (Openstack).
• Infrastructure knowledge (Linux/Windows systems, networking basics, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes).
• DevOps practices: CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and automation tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration for working in global teams.
• Operational mindset: ability to handle incidents and ensure uptime.
