Job Description

As part of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you will play an instrumental role in bringing to life the beautiful and dangerous world of Pandora. This is a unique opportunity to keep growing your experience in games while working hand in hand with Disney's creative minds and James Cameron's production company, Lightstorm Entertainment.

As our new Development Tester (f/m/d) at Ubisoft Düsseldorf, you will collaborate closely with the developers during all stages of game development, via providing qualitative feedback as well as testing and monitoring feature implementation. You will report bugs and verify fixes. Together with the QA team, you will approve milestone versions according to success criteria.

What you will do:
• Perform daily tests and take responsibility for quality and stability of new game content and features
• Collaborate with coders, artists and designers to provide feedback on design, create test cases and perform specific test runs
• Provide qualitative feedback about features in development
• Report and monitor software errors (bugs) and game design problems in a bug database
• Be the QA representative in a specialized development team and have a significant impact on reaching the team's objectives
• Verify fixes applied by developers (bug regression)
• Perform periodical validation tests and write validation reports to assess the quality and completeness level of the new content
• Ensure that the tested software meets certification criteria as part of Milestone certifications

Qualifications

What you bring:
• High expertise in writing test-cases and setting up test procedures
• Good communication skills and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and independent work style
• Ability to describe complex bugs in concise writing
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with defect & test case management tools (e.g. JIRA, TestRail, Xray)
• Excellent knowledge of English both spoken and written
* ISTQB certification is a plus
* Any coding knowledge is a plus
* Experience with automation test methods is a plus
* Animation experience is a plus
* Experience with artificial intelligence is a plus
