Character Concept Artist Temp Contract [Tom Clancy's The Division 2]
As a Character Concept Artist at Massive, you'll collaborate with a team of Concept Artists and with other multidisciplinary specialists, guiding concepts for characters, clothing, gear and weapons in the Division universe.
We're offering a temporary position (11 months) in Malmö, Sweden, with the flexibility to work partially from home (up to two days a week) under our Flexible Workplace Policy. Please apply using English, our company's primary language.
What you'll do
• Contribute to the development of high-quality art for our AAA game(s), from concept to completion
• Researching and proposing concept references together with the leads and directors
• Preparing creative concepts for internal and external production teams
• Ensuring a productive workflow with artists and external partners, through briefs, daily communication, and by providing clear feedback to ensure that deliverables are completed at quality, and to specification
• Understanding and evangelizing the visual style of the game
• Working together with producers, leads, directors, and other teams to push the quality and creativity of the project.

What you'll bring
You have the capacity to work autonomously in a collaborative team within an iterative design process. You have the ability to drive creative pitches and communicate effectively on your point. You bring your imagination and creativity to help us produce content that attracts the eye and engages our player community. As we are a live game you have the ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment, towards deadlines, and juggle priorities. You have a positive attitude with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback. You are passionate about video games, story-telling and entertainment. Your ability to see both the big-picture and deliver high-quality, detailed art concepts will set you up for success in this role. Besides the above we're looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
• A relevant portfolio is required (we'd like to see a variety of your work and in different styles);
• Ability to create concepts of characters and props to AAA standard;
• Tools - working knowledge with Adobe Photoshop (photo-bashing), and familiarity with game engines (e.g. Unity & Unreal). Understanding of 3D and art pipelines is helpful.
