Job Description
Beyond Good And Evil 2 is an action-adventure sci-fi RPG set in the same universe as Ubisoft's original cult classic. You can now join our crew at Ubisoft Mainz to help us shape this amazing project with cutting edge graphics.
The Build and Release Engineer will work closely with our Development and QA Teams to keep our Infrastructure running and help improve it. We are looking for experienced, self-motivated and self-regulated Individuals that can take over sections of the build process and take those areas to the next level.
What you will do:
• Build and Release Management
• Create configure and maintain automated build and release pipelines.
• Maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) systems for efficient testing and deployment.
• Version Control
• Manage version control system based on Perforce
• Resolve version control issues and assist developers with merging code branches
• Build Optimization
• Identify and implement strategies to optimize build times and reduce build errors
• Maintain build scripts and build server configurations to ensure reliability and efficiency
• Integration and Testing
• Collaborate with the testing and development teams to help with testing routines and maintain builds stability
• Deployment
• Manage the deployment of builds to various environments, including development, QA, and production.
• Monitor and support deployment processes to troubleshoot and resolve issues in real-time.
• Documentation
• Document build and release procedures, tools, and configurations for reference and training purposes.
• Ensure clear and up-to-date documentation for all build-related processes.
• Continuous Improvement
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging tools for build and release management
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve build and release processes for increased efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
What you bring:
• Basic knowledge of windows administration
• Basic knowledge of access management tools
• Understanding of the concepts of CI / CD
• Experience with at least one CI / CD Tool
• Basic knowledge of one programming/scripting language, ideally C#
Would be a plus:
• Know how to work with Visual Studio and able to debug a Build
• Experience with Perforce
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies like Kubernetes or Docker Compose
